The mission of the Department is to provide rigorous training in the fundamentals and practice of epidemiology, to contribute to the understanding of the etiology and prevention of disease, and to improve the health of the public through excellence in research. There are many online resources to help understand the UW registration process. The Department of Anthropology has a number of faculty with specializations or interest in Medical Anthropology and Global Health . The Office of the University Registrar is here to support students with the registration process by providing guidelines and policy information. Courses that are 100 to 400 level are for undergraduate students. The program highlights evidence-informed practice in public health, sociobehavioural health, environmental health, and public health informatics. The Master of Public Health (MPH) program provides a broad understanding of public health and the knowledge, tools, and skills for management/leadership roles in public health settings. MPH Core Courses 1 The concurrent MPH/PhD degree coordinates the substantial health-related strengths found across the University of Washington. Epidemiology is the study of the frequency, distribution, and determinants of disease in human populations.
